From Childhood

When I was a kid, I loved Beatrix Potter stories. That animals had stories to tell was not a foreign idea to me; after all, our farm animals had been talking to me all my life! So, look at this! This is a shot from Woolyworks on the family farm:

This is Abby. We should have named the cat Beatwix instead of Twix. She really looks just like the pictures from the book.

OK. That cat is pretty darn cute. Just like a Potter character - you're right!

I've read Shell Seekers 4 times and we just discussed if we would read it for our book club and since I read it so many times, they said no.

Have you read "Coming Home" by the same author? I've also read that one several times. And it's about a girl about the same age as your (beautiful) daughter.

ps. You've been tagged with a "You Make My Day" award on my blog.

I have read "Coming Home", but it was about 14 years ago, around the time that I discovered "The Shell Seekers". I don't remember much about it at all, so reading it again will be good.

I belong to a reading group that is about to discuss "The People's Act Of Love". I had difficulty with the storyline of book, so I'll be interested in what others have to say about it.
