What I've been doing...

These are fingerless mittens made from handspun superwash merino and a few multicolored seed beads. Fun!

This is one of the crocheted skirts I made while I was waiting for the pain to subside. Drawstring waist, worsted weight yarn, size medium. I like it! I've already worn it to work, and it's nice, but it's still a little too hot here for me to wear it again till fall.

These are some shots of the crocheted lace I made from the teal romney. I don't know if you can see the crystal beads in the photos, but in the sun they catch the light and sparkle like raindrops.

Here's Celeste, patiently waiting for me to get out of bed.

Yay! Photos!

The crocheted lace is beautiful, as is your skirt (and you!) and Celeste.

I'm glad to see that you're feeling well enough to be up and about and knitting. The look on Celeste's face also says that you are being sensible and perhaps still resting when you need to.
The lace is beautiful - everything is, really, but the lace is something else.
Keep on being kind to yourself as you heal.

Thank you both for your comments. I still haven't blocked the shawl, although all the work is done on it and fringe has been added. I want to press it, but am afraid that the steam will melt the angelina flash bits and take out some of the sparkle.

The skirt was a fun project - so much fun that I made two more and am working on a matching jacket for the third (brown) skirt. The third skirt has a little flounce on the lower edge, but none of them are long this time.

Kathleen I am glad you are feeling a little better, the skirt and the crochet lace are very nice. It must take a lot of patience to do this kind of work, but you do it very well I have to say it again, that Celeste is so cute, I am going to reach through the computer and steal her for a day, what a sweet face. Thank you for coming by.

Ah, you are out of bed! Briefly anyway... I hope all is proceeding well. Right about now I would love some down time to knit and play, but this doesn't sound like the way to do it! The skirt is lovely, and I LOVE all shawls, especially lace ones. I can't do lace well, so I am jealous. ;)
