Allow me to rave a little about "Sherlock Holmes":
I think this is probably THE BEST movie that Robert Downey Jr. has ever done. I don't usually like Robert Downey Jr, nor do I like Jude Law, but I have to say that in this movie, they were both brilliant! It's a fun movie, although set in dark and gloomy London, similar to the set of "Sweeney Todd, The Butcher of Fleet Street". The music is great, the story is great, and the acting is wonderful.
If you haven't seen it, RUN, don't walk, to the nearest theater showing it!

Thanks for the positive review. It sure helps to have info from a person who has similar tastes than an impersonal reviewer.
The boy and I really want to see this, but we've had a hard time carving out the time. I'll make it a priority now!
This is the first time I've visited your blog - via Pondside's blog 01/02 - and am sure I'll be visiting it more. :-) Started with your blog of 01/02 since that's what showed on the blog list and then went backwards and then forward to get a little bit of a catch-up. Since you asked: I would recommend your givaway consisting of an item made by you and the remainder of the handspun yarn not used for the project. Being a knitter, I love to see and receive other knitter's items, and homespun yarn to work with is a special treat. Congratulation on your 3 year anniversary for blogging. :-)
Lilypad and friend went on Friday night and have said that I 'must go' so I guess I must, now that I have your recommendation too!
I loved it too! I thought it was delightfully entertaining.
Oh, I've always loved Robert D. Jr. I will make a point to go see it! . . . right after I see Avatar 3D hee hee
Thanks for the review, I was dyeing to see this, but afraid I would be dissapointed!
I'm off to the movies soon.

I think I will see Sherlock Holmes now that you gave it the thumbs up. The ads showed a little too much testosterone (the boxing scene) for me. I'm used to the PBS version of SH. Hope all is well with you, Kathleen! Happy New Year!
