These spindles are handmade by Heidi, on Ravelry, her name is RestlessPeasant. They are quite light, made for spinning laceweight yarn. They are so well made that they make spinning a breeze!
And so pretty, too! Me, I'm a wheel gal; spindling looks too much like rubbing my tummy while patting my head, something I never did master. Wishing I could take my wheel to the women's retreat this weekend, but since there isn't enough parking at the beach house and everyone has to be ferried over from an offsite parking lot, it's not practical at all.
I wish I had a wheel here - mine's at home on the Colorado farm. Shipping is so expensive, so spindles are my spinning tool of choice - and just about all that's available to me at an affordable price.
Oh, man....those are so cute! Guess what! My step MIL is going to be in Lima for the Guy's step brother's wedding, I think this weekend. How crazy is that! (I think it is/was an internet romance!)
